Directions of international cooperation

There are such directions of international cooperation as:

The first direction is organization of medical clerkships for international students, professors and doctors and exchange programs between Izhevsk State Medical Academy and universities from all over the world.

The international cooperation is held on the basis of IFMSA exchange program (International Federation of medical students) and mutual scientific and educational agreements with other institutions. Every year exchange students come to ISMA from different countries: Hungary, Poland, Italy, USA, Germany, Finland, Estonia, Roumania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, etc.

International department of ISMA has a large experience in organization of international exchange programs. We organize clerkships for more than 20 years and we would be glad to develop international cooperation with institutions from all over the world. We would be very glad to see students for medical clerkship in ISMA.

Usually the clerkship takes 1 month and the students get the certificate about completed exchange program.

International department of ISMA always helps foreign students within their clerkship and organizes social program.

The second direction is development of international cooperation of ISMA with medical educational institutions from all over the world.

Today ISMA has agreement with the University of Pecs (Hungary), Cardio Vascular Intervention (CVI) (Hungary), Semmelweis University (Hungary), Köln University (Germany), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (Great Britain), Medical University of Silesia (Poland), Samarkand State Medical Institute (Uzbekistan), Damascus University (Syria), Ivanovo-Frankovsk State Medical University (Ukraine) and others.

International department organizes visits of foreign delegations from the institutions in Izhevsk State Medical Academy to to develop cooperation.

We would like to invite new partners and medical educational institutions for educational and scientific cooperation with Izhevsk State Medical Academy.

International department of ISMA organizes participation of candidates in programs: "Tempus", "Medical seminars in Zalzburg", "Germany exchange program" (DAAD). Our specialists have the opportunity to get probation in different specializations: family medicine, rehabilitation medicine, ophthalmology, therapy, neurosurgery, ultrasound diagnostics and others. ISMA starts to participate in CampusFrance and Fulbright programs.

The fourth direction is organization of international conferences, seminars, international meetings, lectures, symposiums, round-table discussions and mutual scientific research meetings. As long as the udmurts belong to Finno-ugric group, that is why there are lot of educational, scientific, and cultural activities with participation of Finland, Estonia, Hungary.

October, 2008International department of ISMA organized international meetings with representatives from Damascus University (Syria) in april 2008, with students of Köln University (Germany) in may 2008, with London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) in June and October 2008, with delegation of University of Pecs (Hungery) in October 2008 and many others.

The fifth direction is publishing. In 2008 collected articles was published by International department (Laws of Russian Federation about migration and foreign students education). In April 2008, the article "Organization, results and perspectives of international cooperation development of ISMA" was published in scientific magazine "The Modern problems of science and education". The brochure "Izhevsk State Medical Academy" was translated in English and published due to 75th Anniversary of ISMA in 2008.

Foreign students of ISMA. November, 2008 The sixth direction is education of foreign students in ISMA and support of them at any questions within the whole period of their study in ISMA. You can find all the information about education of foreign students in ISMA on the web site.

The seventh direction is voluntary participation in "AntiAIDS" program. Students, young researches and doctors give lectures and make open discussions which help children and teenagers to understand problems about AIDS and think over about their health. International department of ISMA and Association of Medical Students, Young Researchers and Doctors of Izhevsk (ASMI) organize and hold international workshops ("AIDS and Immune System), conferences, contests of young researches. There were 3 international congresses in ISMA.
